IBM Spectrum Protect has started a process of continual development and enhancement. Many users are already familiar with the current version and just want information on the new features added at a particular release.
On this page, we've provided a technical feature overview on a release by release basis. These are update videos only, and assume you are already familiar with previous versions of Spectrum Protect.
Spectrum Protect 8.1.0 12/9/16
On December 9, 2016 IBM Spectrum Protect 8.1.0 was released. The following two videos cover the new functions in this release:

Spectrum Protect 7.1.6 6/17/16

Spectrum Protect 7.1.5 3/11/16
On March 11, 2016 Spectrum Protect 7.1.5 was released. This release was for the Spectrum Protect Server and Operations Center. The enhancements include: Cleversafe container pools, server side LZ4 in-line compression, cross platform server migration for AIX to xLinux and Protect Stgpool repair of damaged target extents.
Spectrum Protect 7.1.4 / Spectrum Protect Snapshot for Windows 4.1.4 - Q4 2015
The Q4 2015 release of Spectrum Protect includes support for vSphere 6 VVols, larger VMs on VMware, and new support for NetApp integration.
Spectrum Protect 7.1.3 / Spectrum Protect Snapshot 4.1.3 - September 11, 2015
This version is a major release of the Spectrum Protect. It includes many new server side features for container storage pools, next generation deduplication, and cloud storage pools. It also includes the new Self Service File Restore interface for Virtual Environments.
